Whether you’re wooing a new love or feeding an old flame, our delicious Valentine’s Day dinner recipes will ensure you’ll have your loved one eating out of your hand…! Of course, nothing impresses more than a person who has control of their kitchen, and ultimately, control of the evening! This course is for those romantics who wish to treat the special person in their life to an unforgettable evening.

Our Valentines Couples evening is designed to be a date night with a difference: a dining experience where you spoil each other’s taste buds with a range of fantastic foods.

Start the evening off with a delicious complimentary welcome drink, then move through to the kitchen to prepare a dish with your partner in the company of other couples. Each couple selects and then prepares a starter, main and dessert of their choice, then prepares them with the assistance of our professional chefs.

Your dish is then beautifully plated and ready to be enjoyed with your partner at your own table.

Prepare yourself for a variety of taste sensations.

The beauty of this date is that you get to go home after a fun, relaxed evening to no dishes to do and some new ideas to try out together at home.

It will be a night to remember!

Class Structure

14th of February – Standard cooking class

Following a brief introduction, everyone will work together through the recipes with the assistance of the chefs. Once the food is prepared, couples will be seated and served the delicious food they made by our trained stews at a candle-lit table.

Valentine’s Dinner Menu

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY BOOKINGS AFTER 24TH JANUARY WILL BE ACCOMMODATED IN OUR CHEF KITCHEN AREA.

Starter

  1. Sashimi Salad
    • Fresh salmon, pickled cucumber, pickled ginger, carrot, spring onion, baby greens, Asian vinaigrette, toasted coconut.
  2. Beef platter
    • Beef tataki, spring onion, parmesan, sesame oil, roasted sesame, ponzu sauce, melba toast.
  3. Avocado Caprese
    • Avocado, tomato, mozzarella, basil pesto, olive oil, sumac, pecan brittle, crème fraîche.

 

Main Course

  1. Karoo lamb
    • Grilled lamb neck, Karoo-style gravy, sauteed carrot, biltong dust, smoked mash
  2. Linefish
    • Pan-seared Cape yellowtail, samp risotto, charred baby marrow, sage beurre noisette.
  3. Vegetarian Tacos
    • Black beans, tomato, aubergine, ricotta, red onion, tahini, chilli, coriander

 

Dessert

  1. Malva Pudding Parfait
    • malva pudding, amarula custard, rooibos-infused whipped cream, caramelized naartjie zest.
  2. Panna Cotta
    • Vanilla cream, roasted cashew, dark chocolate shavings, salted caramel sauce.

Additional Info

Doors open 15 minutes before the start of the course.
Cooking classes cancelled within 48 hours of the class will forfeit the course fee.
We occasionally post pictures of the courses and participants on social media. Please advise if you would prefer us not to upload pictures of you.
We strongly recommend you consider a  taxi service, like Bolt or Uber, as your choice of transport.
We have full bar facilities at the venue. Drinks for your course can be purchased at the venue.
