The Cooking for a Cause Event is open to anyone who would like to help feed communities that are struggling to feed themselves and their families, and at the same time you also get to learn and make new recipes!
Description
Once a month, we run a cooking class where participants learn to make and create 4 – 5 recipes presented by professional Stir Crazy Cooking Chefs. You get to sample all the food you make and everything gets packed up, boxed and donated.
Participants meet at Stir Crazy Kitchen and make use of all the facilities and equipment to prepare their recipe under the guidance of our chefs. It’s a win-win for you (who learns how to make the recipe) and of course the recipient of the delicious meal you’re making.
Our ingredients are sponsored by Food Lovers’ Market and Earth Lovers.
All meals prepared are donated to and collected by SA Harvest, who distributes all the food to local charities and local communities in need.
Note: We have a donation box available, where you are welcome to donate any toys, clothes and canned food which will be delivered along with the food distribution.
