Basic cookery training for people managing their own kitchens and households. Participants will learn the basics of measurements, meal planning and general cooking skills. The course includes basic knife skills, preparing standard household meals, pasta making, basic breads, and everyday cooking techniques. Recipes teach preparation of vegetables, poultry, chicken, meats and fish as well as making stocks, dressings, marinades and sauces.

Day 1:

Biltong, Mushroom, and Cheese Soup
Butternut Soup
Fresh Spring Rolls
Ratatouille Pasta Sauce
Spaghetti Puttanesca

Baked Linefish with Ratatouille and Red Pepper Sauce
Fish Bobotie
Mauritian Fish Curry
Seafood Pasta with Cream Sauce
Steamed Fish with Chilli, Ginger, and Lime Sauce

Day 2:

Asian Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
Chicken Bunny Chow
Chicken Enchilada Rancheros
Easy Chicken Pie
Stuffed Grilled Chicken Breast with Spinach, Feta, and Soy Sauce

Beef Lasagne

Beef Stroganoff
Lamb Cutlets with Crispy Sage and Capers
Mexican Chilli Con Carne

Doors open 15 minutes before the start of the course.
Cooking classes cancelled within 48 hours of the class will forfeit the course fee.
We occasionally post pictures of the courses and participants on social media. Please advise if you would prefer us not to upload pictures of you.
We strongly recommend you consider a  taxi service, like Bolt or Uber, as your choice of transport.
We have full bar facilities at the venue. Drinks for your course can be purchased at the venue.
