Charity Soup Kitchen
Time: 2 hours – 1 session
Price: R75, cash only
This charity event is open to anyone who would like to help feed communities that are struggling to feed themselves and their families or who have landed on hard times.
Every 2nd Saturday we run a Charity Soup Kitchen at Stir Crazy thanks to the efforts of Jeremy Taylor, one of our Superyacht Chefs.
This charity event is open to anyone who would like to help feed communities that are struggling to feed themselves and their families or who have landed on hard times. We prepare various recipe packs which are ‘sold’ at R75 per pack. The pack contains the recipe and all the ingredients you need to prepare your meal.
Participants meet at Stir Crazy Kitchen and make use of all the facilities and equipment to prepare their recipe under the guidance of our chefs. Its a win-win for you (who learns how to make the recipe) and of course the recipient of the delicious meal you’re making.
- We’re carrying on business as usual, as safely as possible at Stir Crazy Cooking Theatre.
- We’ve created special courses (Cooking for Charity) during the week with delicious recipes. By attending these courses, you get to learn new recipes and sample some of the foods we create during the course.
- All the food created during the course will be individually packaged and send to homes that most need the support.
- By supporting the needy, you also support us financially to stay in business during this difficult time.
Doors open 15 minutes before the start of the course.
Cooking classes cancelled within 48 hours of the class will forfeit the course fee.
We occasionally post pictures of the courses and participants on social media. Please advise if you would prefer us not to upload pictures of you.
We strongly recommend you consider Uber as your choice of transport.
We have full bar facilities at the venue. Drinks for your course can be purchased at the venue.
